Sarcastic tone
We used Amazon reviews' sarcastic tone to determine which products received positive and negative reviews in the current study. We analysed 5000 reviews and classified them as "Sarcastic" (or "Nonsarcastic") We then divided the reviews into five different categories based on their sarcastic tone. It was found that product reviews with a sarcastic tone are less likely than those with a neutral one to receive positive reviews.
This study was based on reviews with two stars, which shows the classifier's highest performance. Reviewers with a 2-star rating were the most accurate and reliable. The next study used the same data to detect sarcastic tone. We also included reviews that were less favorable. We found that reviews with a 2-star rating had a sarcastic tone more than other reviews.
